though i must say this is the 3rd kpete appreciation thread i've seen... and i've been noticing a trend that i find a little disturbing. Oftentimes the same article will be posted twice, once by kpete and once by someone else. Sometimes the kpete thread predates the other sometimes not, but in either case the kpete thread invariably soars to the Greatest page while the other posters equivalent thread drops like stone. To my mind it means we end up relying on her more for our news and it will be even more traumatic should she ever leave us here at DU. I've sometimes seen postable stuff on the Solar Bus (my homepage= http://www.solarbus.org/realnews/) and thought to myself, "Nah, someone else will get to it" and sure enough, given enough time invariably it's kpete to the rescue. It just tends to foster the "why should i bother?" attitude in me...

Does this bother anyone else?

Again, i think kpete rocks, but shouldn't we save her the trouble of posting a million things a day for our benefit? Do we depend upon her too much? Or am i making too much of this?

As for the OP's question, "What in the hell would DU do without you?"... well we'd live of course, but lots of thing here would be different. Though i wasn't really here for it, i imagine kephra's influence was similar.
