I've been posting the letters individually lately 1) because it's faster and easier, but more importantly 2) I want Americans stateside to keep troops' issues/concerns on a constant front burner since the supermajority in Congress don't.
The original, though incomplete, list of
Stripes letters is here:

War with Iraq unwarranted
Like many Americans, I find myself in the astonishing position of witnessing our government progressively moving toward a major war with Iraq. This news in itself is alarming, but the fact that many U.S. military officers believe that Saddam poses no immediate threat and that the U.S should continue its policy of containment rather than invasion — and that they are being ignored by the Bush administration — disturbs me further.
...
One thing that Americans should be sure of is that this war will destroy the credibility of the United States. The British, Europeans and NATO do not support this war. We Americans should not support this war. The only way this war will be stopped is if Americans stand up to stop it. But, my feeling is that our government believes the American people do not know the difference between a justified and a warranted war.
What about the supposed “incompetence” of our military officials? I believe they have looked at another Iraqi war without bias or hidden agendas. And for that, they prove to be the most competent. After all, it is the men and women in the armed forces who sacrifice their lives to uphold our freedoms. I do not want to see my husband, or any member of our military, sacrifice their life for a war that is not needed or required.
