What to know why Republicans are suddenly calling for Gonzalez's |

resignation. It's not really because they are upset that they were lied to. It's because they know damn well there is going to be a democratic executive and an even larger democratic majority in two years and they suddenly realize that their short sited compliance with the neutering of the congress may not have been in their own interest after all.
They are terrified that the democrats might follow their example regarding power sharing and the unitary executive.

My money is on this meeting being nothing more than a strategy session on how to further obstruct justice by blowing smoke up the ass of any nearby reporters.
Look at Arlen's recent pleas to WAIT to serve subpoenas on the WH. It's just MORE footdragging. Period.
