Air America goes off the air in ... Santa Cruz?

KOMY/1340, licensed to La Selva Beach but broadcasting from Santa Cruz,
dropped its Air America programming schedule abruptly at 10 a.m. this
morning, replacing it with a 1960s Oldies music format.

The station's website still seems to be 'progressive talk,' but the live stream is indeed 1960s oldies.

I've been following the antics of the owners on my blog for some time now. These people are nuts.

If you want to listen to liberal talk, dial in 540 KRXA, also in the Santa Cruz area. These people are dedicated to the format, and air Stephanie Miller, Ed Schultz, Thom Hartmann and Peter B. Collins, among others.

6. UPDATE: KRXA has picked up more AAR programming

You can catch a Randi Rhodes replay and Mark Riley live overnights from 11P-3A.

They also added Laura Flanders and another Randi best-of on the weekends.

They had already been running "Ring of Fire" on Saturdays.

So AAR is still on in the area, and while they're not getting the clearance they did on KOMY, they're on a much better station.
