Toensing is a poster child for
who not to have testify for your side. God! Was she awful! Not that many of the American public watched this today but, she would scare the hell out of you and she is everyone's steriotype of a hair splitting shark of a lawyer. All I could think of was that she's the lawyer on the other side of a divorce who wants to take your kids away from you...on a legal technicality...I wanted one of those reps to say, "Was VPW's life in danger, did this destroy part of our intelligence? Cut the legal crap!" Anyway, my sense is that she did a lot more harm than good and if that's all they had, pack it in.

2. You need to make this a "fill in the blank" thread.
I vote for BAD HENNA. A poster child for scary, BAD HENNA!

As for her testimony, the GOP 'insisted' that she be added as a witness, and Waxman, far nicer than the GOP when they had the clout, allowed her.

The GOP can't get mad because the Dems actually PREPARED for the evil shrew, who is well-known for her evil diatribes and has been for a full THIRTY YEARS and then some!!!!

Wonder how hard they're kicking themselves now.

9. SHE represents the minority?
Heh. She certainly didn't hold up under straight questions. She was certainly trying to spin with all her might.

5. I do detect some sexism in these Toensing posts...
henna?...hag?.... although I couldn't help regretting that she was of my sex...and such an opposite from VPW!

6. Not necessarily...my father used henna on his mustache
sometimes, to cover up the gray. He was quite a vain man, and stoutly denied his use of henna, but I know it for a fact.

7. she's QUITE the drama queen -- is she auditioning for Fox?
I've seen LESS scenery-chewing in a middle school production of "Perils of Pauline". Ugh. Turn off her mike please. :puke:

8. toensing
I have a 165 lb. rottweiler that is a trained guard dog and I
wouldn't let him be alone with that "bitch" for five
minutes as I'm afraid he might get rabies.

12. I thought Rep. Cummings was far more effective than any Rottweiler
"Yes, I am a criminal lawyer too...", then he asked her a straight question that left her flat footed. An exquisite performance, he made it look so easy as well.

11. Yeah, she really did do that...
I was off-put, offended and wondered why she would be so arrogant...I guess it's just a bad habit with these people but they must not have one single person with any common sense on their side to let someone like that testify.
