... and she was in her mid 30's. I'd guess she was born in 1940 since she got a BA in education in 1962 and worked before going to law school at the University of Detroit. She got her law degree in 1975. Thus, in the late 70s she'd be in her mid-to-late 30s.

From what I recall, the original statement was 'working on the law 30 years ago'. She corrected it by saying 25 years ago. Based on the 1981-1985 dates I saw on CSPAN, I had figured her to be correct in that statement. I thought it was the only honest thing she did say LOL

What Toensing said was that it has been 25 years *since* she was part of the committee that wrote the law criminalizing revealing the identity of covert agents.

Randi misheard it as Toensing saying that she was 25 years old when she served on that committee...

...Actually Waxman at the close of the hearings put Vicky on notice that he knew she had lied and then said the law she was quoting and claimed she drafted for Barry Goldwater was some 30 years old. That would have dated the law back to 1976 formulated under Gerald Ford's presidency.

I am also wondering why that law was even drafted and adopted as Toensing's so called expert citation of the law seems to imply that the CIA is required by law to make the names of ALL Covert CIA Agents and operators known to any government official who might be in a position to disclose their identity? Wouldn't such a list completely defeat the whole purpose of being covert?

written up in response to anger and initiation coming from Bush, Sr. following another undercover leak. Waxman started off referencing Bush, Sr. I am quite sure I heard her say that her work came out of his anger and authority to generate it. ???
