I rarely watch network news; now I know why
I decided to turn it on tonight to see how they covered the Plame hearing today.

CBS has basketball on.

NBC - nothing

ABC - nothing

These "news organizations" should be ashamed.

2. We actually watched The News Hour with Jim Lehrer--which we stopped doing years ago--
and he had a piece by Judy Woodruff covering the Plame hearing. Complete fluff! Hubby had heard the hearing discussed on NPR while driving home--and none of the stuff that NPR was talking about was even mentioned in the Woodruff piece.

4. I hear you, but actually CBS just did pretty extensive coverage.

I never watch network news either, but just happened to come across CBS's coverage. Surprisingly, it was fairly blunt, in that the reporter actually named Cheney as the one who led the effort to discredit Joseph Wilson by outing his wife. They also showed extensive clips of Plame's testimony without once, as far as I could tell, pushing the pathetic "this whole thing is the CIA's fault" spin that the reprehensible Republicks were trying to put forth all morning and afternoon.

5. ABC and NBC both gave it some coverage.
For them, it wasn't bad.

10. I'm not sure -- it was on during Couric's broadcast -- then the basketball stuff followed.
I'm still amazed that 1) they covered it 2) they did not lick the administration's boots in their coverage.

8. It was on at a different time here
due to basketball. So I missed it all together.
