4. I'll add to your stupid question WindRaven!
and does he stay on the payroll and continue to occupy an office and call the shots? Seemed that way for both Rumsfield and Rove.

7. it amazes me to no end how Rove keeps staying one step ahead of everyone
He has to be the most sleazy man in politics ever. And, he's untouchable.

9. Come on, people!
Fired? No way. He may have to step down from the AG job, but you can bet he will still be right by Bush's side till glory day (Jan 09).

Bush doesn't fire people. They just take another position. That's the way cronyism works. They know way too much for them to be fired, so they are found new positions that pay twice as much......get the drift?

10. He'll resign to spend more time with his family - beneath a kitchen refrigerator
dodging the next spraying of RAID.

13. My guess is Mr. Gonzales will be spending more time with the family soon.
His political partisanship is obviously beyond the ethical standard of his position.

I don't know what the tipping point will be, but if one or two more influential (R)'s join the call for his dismissal, he may very well choose a gracious exit.
