"Middle-easterners" applying for school bus driver positions?

Of course the 'reports' on CNN have the ominous music in the background, and the reporters always "mention" how suicide bombers look for large vehicles...

and of course they remind the viewers about the "flight school" training pre-9-11.

they "advise" school districts to be "alert"..



BUT..

there's no TANGIBLE proof that there's anything nefarious..no plots uncovered..no arrests made.

and then the end of the reports, they tell parents."Not to Worry"

WTF is wrong with these idiots?

If there is REALLY a suspicion of this type of thing you DO NOT GO PUBLIC with stuff like this and blow any undercover investigations into it.. IF it's real.

If it's NOT real, then shame on them for throwing another log on the "we hate arabs bonfire"..

Of course it's Friday and the administration must be terribly scared right now, and eager for ANYTHING to distract the public.

referring also to the Middle East types. They have had numerous people turned in, but children even. Nothing on any of them checks out to be suspicious. Isn't that something. More scare tatics.

6. I would imagine there would be a mandatory background check

with fingerprints, criminal records, residency check, etc. I find the story to be a little hard to swallow wholesale as no district would leave itself open to potential, if not probable liability, if a single child were harmed due to the actions of an employee.

Of course, they never even probably consider that jobs are kind of scarce, and if the jobs are offered, MANY people will apply, and with the recent climate, ther probably ARE a lot of middle-eastern looking men who may have LOST their original jobs..

WASHINGTON The government is warning police that suspected members of extremist groups have signed up to be school bus drivers.
But F-B-I and Homeland Security officials say they have received no threats or credible information to suggest a plot.

The warning comes in a routine bulletin the F-B-I and Homeland Security sends to local law enforcement agencies. It notes "recent suspicious activity" by foreigners who either drive school buses or are licensed to drive them.

But, the bulletin also says the agencies "have no information" indicating the people in question are involved in a terrorist plot. One government official says the document is meant to keep local officials alert, adding "it's prudent to check the background of all those who come in contact with school children."

An F-B-I spokesman says "parents and children have nothing to fear."
