You know, sometimes I can be pretty naive and stupid
After Valerie's excellent testimony today, and Waxman's thorough examination, I expected the doubts about her covert status and non role in sending her husband to Niger erased.

Silly, stupid, naive me.....

4. Cat Woman, don't the partisan Pukes get you down.
Davis and Westmoreland should be ashamed of themselves and as for Victoria Toensing, don't even go there.

Congressman Waxman made it absolutely clear that Gen. Hayden said that Valerie Plame was a covert agent. I'm just hoping and praying that Waxman's committee can get their hands on the memo that VPW's boss wrote about how the Senate Intelligence Committee cherry picked or stove piped his testimony.

Let's face it CW, some of these asshole Repukes still think Nixon did nothing wrong during Watergate.

:loveya:

You are a treasure, and don't forget, a lot of congresscritters didn't show up.

I thought Valerie handled the situation with dignity, poise and a deep intelligence that the R's never saw coming...:)

10. Are you kidding
they are trashing her worst than ever. She is lying. She wasn't covert. She was a clerk and gets this she sent her husband to niger. Darn I wish I had that much authority just being a clerk.

I read a post earlier. It was about Plame being interviewed for the investigation in 2004. And when one of the CIA guys told the person who interviewed him that Plame was undercover and had nothing to do with sending her husband to Niger he screwed the facts around. Told the committee she sent her husband and was not covert. The gentleman who wrote the original memo told Plame he was upset and was calling the person who forged the memo names. He told Plame he is looking for the original memo and would see the committee got it. Does anyone remember reading that and if so where I can't find it now.

Why on earth would you think you are naive and stupid?

VPW did an excellent job today and more than scratched the surface on these phonies in the White House. You are spot on.

16. I also noticed that some of the ?'s from the R's bordered on entrapment
and Valerie found ways out w/o putting any national security issues up for grabs. Her responses were excellent, and she left the R's w/nothing.

24. I saw that as a demonstration as to just how desperate they are...
It served no purpose to the investigation nad was opurely partisan, setting up the Laura Ingraham/Rush Limbaugh crowd for soem form of "hate fest". Dems, at least sicen the turn of the 20 th century, have spent a multitude of time cleaning up GOP messes...I'm proud to be a Liberla Dem...beats the hell out of some slovenly lying R....

19. She might have caused more headlines if she had come out like Victoria T.
with huge dark eye circles and fingers circling the air like a Jerry Springer-love-rejected-girl-friend. But Ms. Wilson chose to present her facts in a quiet respectful way. Makes me think the msm doesn't really want to process facts about a lady unless she is stripping off her panties and going into rehab.

What a surprise.

It's just that the right-wing never lets mere facts stand in the way of their opinions. It's like they live in an alternate reality.:hi:
