Anybody Else Feeling A Bit Apprehensive?
I've been kind of nervous all day and couldn't figure out why I wasn't ecstatic over the events today. I think it has something to do with rats being backed in to a corner.

3. Really. The KSM universal confession didn't work...
... time to bring out some real fear mongering.

4. I apoligize, but I've been apprehesive since the 'recount' in '00
The rats are backed into a corner - finally- but I'm almost giddy about the hearings today. At least thinking people have a clue as to what's going on!

I hope that you're feeling apprehensive is wrong, and that hopefully the truth will win out at some point. :hi:

6. Yes, At Least The Truth Is Getting Out
Amazing it took so long but it is out. When I comment about Bush these days I get nods of agreement instead of the bewildered or downright hostile looks I used to get. And I suppose the responses are correct and we at least have this weekend to celebrate.

5. Yes, I have a fear that however things go, Shrubbie ain't leaving office until a nuke goes off.
Whether he gets to use one to blast Iran, or tosses one off in an impeachment tantrum, I truly do fear that one or way or another, the stupid bastard is gonna blow one up before he leaves. And especially so if he gets too cornered for his illegal bullshit.

10. apprehensive
And seeing so many loyal republicans voice their doubts (at long last!) about administration politicies makes you wonder if Bush's own supporters aren't starting to get apprehensive about the same thing.

12. Relax for the weekend. Dumbya is at Camp David. God-only-knows
what Cheney is up to for the weekend. Probably out shooting CIA agents. But I'm hoping we can get through a relatively quiet weekend without Bushco trying to scare us back into a position of sheepish loyalty.

14. Velvet Revolution...
excerpt from

"New Europe"
Granta # 30, Winter 1990
"Looking For Jiri Wolf"
by Graham Smith

"I was surprised by the relaxed and low-key atmosphere of the City Forum office.I had imagined a throng if inquirers: There was a small knot of people. The staff all seemed of student age, smiling, casual, obliging; and if I was reminded of anything, it was of a university common room or a union office-an air of precarious organization. The word you were tempted to use-I thought of the hand-written posters and the single, small-screen televisions relaying information to potential crowds of hundreds-was 'amateur'. You had to remind yourself that a month ago the machinery of opposition and free information simply hadn't existed; and that, at a deeper level, all revolutions must appear to be started by amateurs.
"Furthermore, if these were the amateurs, who were the professionals? No doubt, when the communist leaders were first compelled to negotiate with the the Civic Forum they must have stifled the thought (it was creepily instructive to have shared it), that the situation was preposterous-they were dealing with amateurs. But were they themselves professional in anything other than their official possesion of power? Professional in terms of expertise, responsibilty, knowledge, capacity? The answer I got to this was to be repeatedly and vehemently "NO". The constant cry-with a gush of relief now that at last it could be uttered openly-was that in a totalitarian regime stupidity floats to the top. At every level, control had passed for years into the hands of people with no qualification other than their party allegience. What Czechloslovakia desparately needs now is intelligence."

I remain, as ever, optimistic.

16. Bad ass eclipse coming Sunday afternoon
Watch out for republicon corruption, immorality, and insanity. They want their war profits, and they will merrily sacrifice our sons and daughters to get them, while they maintain their
Chickenhawk Status.

The Eclipse is coming...
