The WH was shopping this info around more extensively than this chart shows. It doesn't show everyone who knew about Valerie Wilson.

There's more to this that needs to come out.

6. It is hard for me to keep straight

but my recollection was that Libby told the FBI that he learned about Plame's identity from Russert and Russert denied every having a conversation with him about it, not that Libby leaked it to him.

7. Russert wasn't leaked to.

Libby claimed that he learned about Wilson's wife from Russert on July 10. Russert testified that was impossible because he didn't know about Plame until he read Novak's July 14 column.

Every instance of somebody telling her identity to somebody who didn't have the clearance, which includes EVERYBODY
on the bottom row, was a leak.

The fact that Novak is the only one who put it into a paper doesn't matter.

Everybody on that bottom row had no business knowing she worked for the CIA.

Not that I think you're saying it, but I've seen it on other threads.

I can't say that I like the current crop of journalists covering the White House very much, but getting tips and hearing classified information from officials isn't treason - publishing it (Novak) isn't treasonous, or even illegal, as well. I don't want to see MORE restrictions on the press, no matter how many of them I find personally distasteful just now.

Seems to me Grenier and Harlow screwed up by telling folks who "didn't need to know" anything about Valerie Plame. But who wrote that report?

11. State Dept INR had a rep at the Feb '02 CIA mtg where sending Wilson to Niger was discussed.

When Libby asked Grossman for info on Wilson's Niger trip, Grossman requested info from State INR (which had also debunked the Niger claims) and a memo was prepared which included info on the 2002 CIA meeting. The memo identified Valerie Wilson as a CIA WMD manager who was present at the meeting.

14. Why did Grenier and Harlow leak this info to Martin and Libby?

Do we know what prompted that? Was it a case of Libby and Martin approaching Grenier and Harlow fishing for info about Plame or did Grenier and Martin initiate the leak?

Looking at this chart its difficult not to see this as anything other a coordinated effort to out Plame.
