I just read an article in Salon:
http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2008/11/02/mccain/It seems that Awful Arlen was dropping some hints. Well, given how some on other side view race, it got me to thinking...
Now, I don't believe for one second that McCain is racist, that's something you usually get over when serving in the military; even in the officer corps.
Anyhow, I was thinking that, in their minds( McCain supporters, campaign workers, heck-Bible Spice herself), they must consider it humiliating to lose to a black candidate.
I know it's wrong, but I can't help but giggle a bit at those who are discomforted. All the trouble and consternation I've had to suffer for the last eight years- even though it's petty and immature- I'm happy to see them squirm for a change.
I don't think I'm incorrect in assuming that there are a lot more racists on the Republican side.
The election of a multi-racial candidate, who is incidentally, demonstrably smarter than they...Hee hee hee! Must be driving 'em batshit.
