Bittersweet victory...
My daughter just showed me a text message from one of her friends. Said "We have a niggie president." It wiped the smile right off my face. I told her I didn't approve, of course.

I remember the hate and prejudice against Kennedy. And now no one thinks about a Catholic candidate.

4. I remember. I wasn't pro-Catholic, but the anti-Catholicism that swarmed around JFK was vile.
