greatest prank in history
During the second quarter of Super Bowl XLI, a team of elite, highly-trained pranksters quietly distributed 2,350 packets to the lower east section of Dolphin Stadium. These "Party Packs" contained a six-inch light-up necklace, along with official-looking instructions. By wearing the necklace lights during the halftime show, Super Bowl fans believed they would be spelling out the word "PRINCE."

But they weren't. They were spelling a secret message that was broadcast to 93.1 million people around the globe.

7. The lights spelled out the name of the web site
that the OP linked to.

It is interesting how they broke security to get this accomplished though.

You can see a video of the "prank" AKA free advertising, here. http://www.zug.com/pranks/super/index06.html

I only checked out the video and if that is all, then it's hardly the greatest prank as the message was only a website. So they only made the fans in the stadium make a cheap commercial for the website in the OP.
Maybe I got it wrong, but it's not even worth it to check out the website.

4. See, THIS is the kind of thing the anti-war movement should do!
Can you imagine if this prank had been pulled off so that the light necklaces spelled out something like "PEACE!" instead of marketing a product?

5. The story is about how they got around the increased
security at the Superbowl.

6. the prank is that there ever was a prank at all, and you fell for it, LOL
There's even a link at the end where you can email the story, and you can insert a seven character message at the end.

9. The message read "ZUG.COM"
Read the story at the link. Pretty amazing. They got 500lbs of gear (2350 lights, mostly) past security and into the superbowl. The press did not report it.

13. I still hold that 'sushi' is the greatest prank in history.
This one isn't even close to that.
