1. It would be very disappointing not to get them. :^( But look at it this way, the
Repubs were always talking about the nuclear option if the Dems filibustered. Would that not now be an option for the Dems to use on them?

2. I don't think they would
I don't think they could get 50+ Dems to support it

3. Georgia Could Be The New Ohio
THank goodness this has no bearing on the election...and I feel good in knowing that the lead was so large, the work so well done, that the GOOP couldn't steal it...even though they sure tried. I'm curious what the deal with the large number ballots supposedly not counted in Fulton County...predominately Democratic votes. The SOS there has been a real pain...let's see how this one plays out...at least to get Chambliss under 50%

It's a disgrace that Alaskans re-elected a convicted felon, but not a surprise. Uncle Ted is so ingrained in that state that many probably voted out of Pavlovian response than anything. I see him being expelled in the next couple weeks and a new election early next year. Now could this be the opening for Bible Spice?

Overall, not a complete sweep, but not a bad one...and room for improvement in 2010.

4. I've seen reports that some Alaskans voted for Stevens
because they expect him to resign or be forced out and that would allow the governor to run for his seat and Palin could be the new US Senator
