Just like President Clinton did, on social issues, such as abortion, gay rights, stem cell research etc, he will be liberal....but in general he will govern as a Centrist.
Which is what people want, the mainstream are in the Center....they are neither Left nor Right, but smack in the middle.
I should add that President Obama was elected by a VAST majority of people, that includes a HUGE number of Centrists and Independents.
He will govern for ALL, he WASN'T just elected by the so-called "Progressives", and I would hope that if he doesn't do a MASSIVE swing to the Left (which would be a HUGE mistake, and I don't think he will because he ran on a Centrist platform), I hope the "Progressives" don't cause trouble for him like they did for President Clinton.
The majority of people are Center-Left....the majority of people aren't Left-Wing....even Nancy Pelosi has come to realise this, she is urging President Obama to govern as a Centrist, and she's right.
