Since the WH has delayed the release of documents it was supposed to have let loose on Friday, I wonder.

Are shredders working overtime during the weekend hours? Are they allowed to DO that?

Now that they know there are thousands (maybe millions) of interested, knowledgeable people ready to pore over them, comb out and highlight interesting bits and pieces. . . they will surely be less likely to try to overwhelm the opposition with mere quantity.

1. You pretty much answer your own question,
the only other thing is that millions of citizens pore over documents, not pour.

2. Thank, I fixed it. My question was mostly to those who know
what laws are involved in the turning over of documents.

3. The law concerning documents is covered under
the FOI (Freedom of Information Act, 1974). The name of the act is deceptive, as prying any useful and timely information from the Federal government is anything but free, nor informative. YMMV.

4. It was reported on CSPAN that FOIA requests for Presidential records now takes 78 mos to comply...
Over 6 years to provide documets to those writing historical perspectives.

Justice delayed is justice denied. And information delayed is information denied, in this case for over 6 years.
