How Does Bush Plan to Mark the War's Fourth Year?
Edited on Sun Mar-18-07 12:07 PM by Rose Siding
The White House, repeatedly asked if President Bush is planning anything to mark the fourth anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq on Monday, has suggested that the president is going about business as usual. On Monday, that business includes playing host to the 2006 NCAA football champions, the University of Florida "Gators'' -- who play, remember, in a field called The Swamp.

4. Actually, I think that is precisely what he intends to do again, he did
...that back in June 2003 when Bush visited U.S.S. Truman for dramatic veterans'-benefits-cutting ceremony, complete with super sized scissors and a helicopter landing

6. Here's how i do
I've sent this song out once per year as audio only the last couple of years. It was written the first week of the war. My genius friend Dave did a very affecting video montage to it, to which he added some Cheney profiteering info 2 years later, when the civilian death count was still "only" around 4000. He just put it up on youtube a couple of months ago.

I had sort of thought that nasty as the war was, it might be over quickly. Now, Iraqbodycount puts civilian deaths at about 60,000 and other less highly documented surveys suggest it could be as high as 900,000. Not counting lost limbs, eyes, homes etc and maybe something over 1 million refugees.

This was supposed to be satiric-- now it just feels sad and angry.
