Doesn't anybody want to yell at MTP/NBC re booking DeLay?
Several threads died earlier, but I'll try just one more, as I am still astounded that they propped him up as a legitimate spokesperson! (Although his looking like a complete idiot was a nice side effect, I'll admit.)

Can't yell at NBC, actually--you're not gonna believe this.
Their fancy feedback menu:
http://www.msnbc.com/news/435157.asp
is nothing but a gif with no links!

(Guess they don't want to hear from us.....)

Yell at MTP here:

(I know, I know, for all the good it will do.....)

1. no - the wheels are off their bus if those two clowns are all they got. They were fantastic...
and great ambassadors for the denial of reality in Iraq. I hope they trot them out more.

5. Yeah, I see your point
and he *did* do the R's more harm than good, but HOW ON EARTH CAN AN ENTITY THAT EVEN *PRETENDS* TO BE A LEGITIMATE NEWS ORGANIZATION give him a platform, especially on the Iraq war????

14. I totally concur
Just keep giving them more rope. Hopefully we'll watch them all dangling by the end of it in our lifetime.

3. Par for the course
That show's simply unwatchable. It's more or less Fox "news" material.

4. Yes I do, and did through MM
but at most you will only get a half dozen takers here at DU.

Thanks for putting up the good fight.

8. Thanks for thanking me....
I don't do many OPs, but I just have a reflexive reaction to DeLay. I still can't believe I moved to where I was represented by him (all unknowing at the time, I'm ashamed to say....)

6. Just continually amazing how morally corrupt they are...
I thought they could not sink lower. Isn't it obvious how slanted they are to everyone by now? What the hell does Tom Delay have to do with anything anymore! He is irrelevant! What sort of kiss-a** move is this???

7. Yup. I thought he was indicted.
Why give credence to a corrupt operative, who may yet see himself in jail - or did he already bribe himself out of it.

10. No. I love having DeLay trotted out. It reminds everyone
of just how corrupt Republicans are. The only thing that upset me was that the Congressman from PA didn't say something like, "Where does a corrupt politician get off telling an Admiral how the military works?"

I guess he was too polite. I wouldn't have been.

13. i was hoping the admiral would turn to delay and ask him what
he could possibly know about serving in the military. i loved it when delay said to ask the military what they thought and the admiral told him!

i think mtp is dragging the bottom of the barrel and could not get anyone else to argue the pro-war side. hell, they dragged out richard perle! you think anyone in tv land even knows who he is? i didn't even notice how they identified perle on screen. maybe next week they'll have the maytag repairman on. ;)

the good news is that delay and perle are only credible to the people still drinking the koolaid.

11. DeLay got taken to the woodshed by Andrews and Sestak.
So did Dick "Dick" Perle.

Fine with me -- let Timmeh fluff his discredited insider pals -- just so long as he books progressives and Dems who will "go medieval" on them!

12. I have stopped expecting..
to get apples from a pear tree. Now my ire is focused on those apples that fall from a cross-pollinated tree...sometimes called the Democratic Party, and whatever print media that warrants my attention. Anger is a great motivator, but I'm afraid if I subjected myself to televised propaganda I would be too livid to do anything but rail against the talking heads...or spin my wheels 24/7. An exhausting exercise in futility. I prefer to deal with at least a modicum of truth and logic, while maintaining my own sense of sanity. Print media has enough foibles that serve to maintain an acceptable degree of rage within my psyche, while still managing to retain a thought process, and hopefully learn something constructive.

15. I yelled at the TV, does that count?
It started when Timmy called him congressman DeLay.

Missed opportunity; "I'd rather listen to the advice of an Admiral with years of military experience than an ex-politician selling his book on his way to prison."

17. Yup, they should have called him disgraced former Congressman Tom Delay
And Richard Perle--has anybody other than maybe Paul Wolfowitz ever been more wrong more often than this man?

I give Admiral Sestak credit for eating these two fools lunch. I was just hoping that either he or the other antiwar speaker would ask Delay how his court case is going.

18. I was disgusted that they trotted him out. But hubby and I thought that it was at least as
disgusting, if not more so, that Perle, he of the endless lies, should continue to be given a platform over and over and over again. Disgusting that the MSM gives a platform to such lowlife lying scum.
