For those who listened to the Malloy show friday night
The guest was Larry Everest .

The first part of the show Mike Malloy really did bring into clarity how much the right wing radio and TV is destroying the minds of those who listen to it and this country .

Larry Everest did express we cannot make it through tow more years of bush , we in Malloys opinion are already in a facist country and Larry said we are either there and if not we are headed there fast .

There seems to be no way bush and cheney will be impeached as far as I can conclude at this time , we need tens of millions in the streets and not just mild protests but protests that include more action as they were during the 60's such as shutting down univercities and even laying down blocking military paths .

How we will ever have tens of millions I cannot say , so far through the 6 odd years of bush horror we have not come close .

There is Cindy Sheehan and other groups out there .

I have only one possible answer and this is many more millions have to be directly affected to change their lives to then make it their mission to save this country . With bush in control and now the no stopsign for bush attacking Iran and the funding in more dollars than bush asked for is madness so we can't -as Larry and Mike said- count on congress to get us out of this hell on earth .

Everyday as new issues unfold such as Walter Reed of the PLame hearings the next day or so it's GONE from the media which most people seem to rely on .

1. I think that the only thing that will get tons of people into the streets
is when we attack Iran. Be it with conventional or nuclear weapons. I know that once we nuke Iran, it's over for me. I'm moving to DC with my tent and I'm not leaving.

12. I doubt that will do it either, as long as they don't have a stake in it
That is, as long as they don't have to worry about their sons and/or daughters being drafted.

14.  I hope it never comes to that
If it does and it may well happen then most people will be effected either by gas prices or a completely destroyed economy here . It is already bad enough as far as the economy goes , many people seem to thik their jobs are somehow secure , I thought mine was never going to fall apart but surprise it did .

What we have is no joke in this country , this is not to suggest you feel it is a joke , just a statement I needed to add .

2. Yes, And Every Time The Revolution Word Is Mentioned Here
The mods remove the post.

If elections don't work anymore and all the levers of polite power are broken.

What's left?

3. I'm not advocating revolution, I have a better idea
We are a nation that likes to sit on our ass. I suggest that we turn the mall and surrounding areas of DC into one really large camp. Imagine millions (ok, thousands) of people sitting on their asses for days or weeks without moving. No violent revolution here, just a shitload of Americans sitting on their asses. We could have concerts and turn the whole place into a hippie squatters community.

7. Who Said The Revolution Had To Be Violent?
Gandhi had the right idea.

That said, I don't have the time to sit for weeks and loose my job.

Oh, but I forget that makes me lazy!

5. I know
You really can't talk about a revolution or suggest one .

People would really need to go for broke to be able to protest for weeks on end in a very large number . Now whether this would make any difference to the reps we have I can't say it would .

I really doubt there are many people who are willing to risk their jobs and all but if people don;t the the result will be even worse and it won't take very long before they loose what they are trying to save now . How to get millions to realize this is the problem .

9. Well in the 60's they turned on our heroes
They shot & killed Jack & Bobby Kennedy, Malcomb X & Martin Luther King and the people responded by electing
Nixon and the Viet war escalated with the bombing of North Viet Nam. They didn't turn the bastards out until
they got caught in a lie. So whats the matter now. They've been caught in a whole bunch of lies & it's only
now starting to turn. Everything political takes so damn long & lets face it. We on the left are a bunch of
impatient bastards. We know whats right and we want it to happen right now. You know, I'm glad we're like that.

15.  They already killed all my heros
And now we don't have a real government to turn this around let alone impeach these freaks .

This is a divided government and a biased media . there is no middle road .

They have been caught in more lies than one can count and even though the dems have almost control of the senate there are not enough dems to control the senate and get an impeachment . This is off the table and I have heard two dems already say impeachment will take them away from doing other tasks , Bernie Sanders said this on Hartmann weeks ago .

4. Here is the only problem with the logic
does a tree make a noice when it falls in the forest?

I ask, because the demonstrations are happening... but the Corpo media is doing its best to prevent the news of them happening getting out

In the sixties those thigns were front and center during the eveneing news

So were pictures of Nam.

They learned, keep it out of the news, and it never happened you see.

We know they are happening becuase of the internets and they are already planning to take this last heaven of information away from the people

8. if there were enough people jamming DC
nothing could get done. If enough people crowded the streets around the office buildings, Congress could not get into the building. The news could ignore protestors for a day or two, but not when they shut down the city. I think that an occupation might work if the occupiers could stay peaceful. Warm weather would also be nice.

11. I didnt think we had enough troops for effective martial law
Plus, the masses in DC wouldnt be doing anything criminal. Plus we have cameras and youtube. We also have blogs and such . We are the damn media.

I think that overwhelming, peaceful occupation has as good a shot as anything. We arent gonna take up arms and get our asses shot off, but we can sit on those asses and act like human cholesterol and jam things up. If you cant make it to DC, just take a lounge chair and a cooler to your nearest state capital and park it. We could have AAR provide tunes and Dominoes supply the pizza.

19. A Peaceful occupation in DC won't mean jack shit if the M$M doesn't cover it.
Edited on Sun Mar-18-07 10:23 PM by in_cog_ni_to
What good would it do if the people participating in the Peaceful occupation are the ONLY ones who know about it? The CORPOATE owned media isn't going to cut off their $$$$$$$ by furthering the Democratic agenda.

13. I think that we need to organize a virtual protest.
I think that we need to each write an email supporting legislation to end the occupation, and resolve future conflicts with both diplomacy and police action (action to arrest certain suspects, with U.N. support, and the support of the sovereign nation in question, and with due process guaranteed). Then, we each need to get 5 friends to write the same email. They, in turn, each need to get 5 friends to request it. And we need to keep that kind of activity up. Eventually, they will respond.

18. Protests, shmosters
Edited on Sun Mar-18-07 10:09 PM by nadinbrzezinski
you know what this coutry needs, and you can tell me what century that might happen

A national strike

That one the press will not be able to hide...

And even with our privates armies implementing martial law across the land would be a tad difficult

Now I've heard herding cats, even wet ones, its easier... but at least in my view this is the only thing that has a prayer of working any longer
