Ahmadinejad's blog: Iran would not initiate any war
A Reply to an American Mother`s Message

Respectable lady
We respect all people of the world- including the American people. ...

Dear sister
Of course, we too hate war – as you do. Certainly, we are not panic-stricken of a defensive war, but we believe there are many diplomatic and peaceful ways and approaches to intercept paranoidal bullying and expansion policies and practices of U.S., Zionist usurper regime – the occupier of Palestine – and Britain. I assure you that Iran would not initiate any war! Unfortunately today, the entire world is somehow afoul of some hostile powers and politicians that are non-edified, power greed and warmongers. ...

Tormented mother
I hope the people of the world bring to book these egoistic and bellicose politicians – who have immolated everything for the interest of a few companies and certain groups. I am confident that you and American people would not trust the pre-fabricated lies and complicated, poisonous propagandas that are made and broadcasted by the inhumane, aggressive and capitalist networks. And you do search and try to find out about the truth. ...

Esteemed mother
I hope that the world we live in would never see the darkness of a war and the people of the world can bring their call for peace across to the warmongers who have appeared as statesmen and call themselves as the guardians of others. ...

Original letter he is responding to:

Mr. President
I am writing you this letter as a mother who her son was sent to Iraq forcibly and has been taken away from her for ever.

You may know it or not that most of the Americans do not like Bush. He is (….). We do not recognize him as our president. He entered the white house by cheating. He is not a legitimate president. Even a great number of American mothers who their sons were not sent to Iraq, are agree with me. They know Bush as (….).

Mr. President! As much as we hate war, we hate Bush and his gangs! I want you know that if you intend to attack U.S., most of the people are like me here. We can’t stop his stupid acts for now, but I am writing this letter, because I know you as a pious and logical man.

I am not scared of Bush and his gangs or his security forces, but since I do not want them to interrupt my battle and my fellow Americans’ struggle against this administration, please keep my name and identification anonymous.

With best wishes

1. Of course he wouldn't, but that is not going to stop Bush and Cheney
...and Israel and other like minded RW fanatics from pushing a preemptive attack/war on Iran and get WW III started. This is what the neoconservatives want and the power that it will give them...power over the entire world

5. LOL!
And I love how some people here find him an admirable character. Maybe they can start an Ahmadinejad fan club.

*Standard disclaimer when criticizing Ahmadinejad or Iran. I am NOT advocating in any way, shape or form, an attack on Iran. I am adamently against any such action. Let me repeat that: I am adamently against any such action. However, virtually every time I criticize Ahmadinejad, I'm immediately accused of supporting aggression against Iran. Sorry, I'm not: I just can't stand bigoted fundies, and theocracies that treat women and gays as less than fully human. Hope that's clear.

6. Agreed
I am strictly anti-imperialist and oppose all war on iran. That being said, he is still a sicko. It would be like having Pat Robertson as president here.War, threats, and sanctions will only set reformers back and keep him in power though. I believe that Bush wants him in power. It will be easier to justify a war this way.

12. ITA with all this
I am VERY strongly against any invasion; but let's not any of us pretend that Ahmadinejad is a good leader or a progressive or that life in Iran is all roses, especially for women.

7. I think the operative word here is "character."
I think Ahmadinejad just acts out, as a "character," if you will, to get under Shrubbie's skin.

I don't necessarily think he's good or evil or admirable or intolerable. I think he's just an actor.

14. When would this war occur?
I don't see President Obama attacking Iran and the Bush administration is rapidly running out the clock with its standard mix of scandal and general buffoonery.

9. Yup. I might accuse him of many things, but I haven't caught him lying yet.
Whom do you think he might want to start a war with?

10. You do remember that Ahmadinejad denied the Holocaust ever happened
and had a very public conference for a Holocaust denial bunch, right?

11. No he didn't. He filled his statements with conditionals - if A happened, then why do B.
And the objective of the conference wasn't to deny the Holocaust but to investigate how it has been abused to justify what Israel was doing to the Palestinian people.

It was extraordinarily stupid, though.
