FUR FAN WILL WATCH SEAL CULL FOR TV
By Lara Gould Tv Reporter

A FUR lover will be forced to watch seal pups being clubbed to death for a new TV series exposing the reality behind the luxury goods trade.

The show Guilty Pleasures - to be screened on BBC2 later this year - will take a fur fan to Canada where they will have to face up to the truth behind their passion for pelts.

A TV insider said: "Seal culls are brutal, bloody and very upsetting.

"But this is the reality behind the fur trade and it is only going on so these people can have the latest must-have items."

1. This could be VERY interesting.
I hope it's a little more than what I fear/expect...like showing Bush the photos of the deaths of our kids in Iraq.

2. Heh...
Friend of mine once sent one of the bodies of an animal skinned by a fur shop to a woman who had recently purchased one. Never really found out what happened with that story though. It's too bad it isn't customary to give the rest of the animal to the person after that has happened to it...may make them change their mind on the 'beauty' of fur.

3. "Cull" is an interesting word for "massacre."

4. I'm fine with that.
Anyone who wears fur should be okay with watching footage of how animals are killed for the fur trade. Seems simple and fair enough.

5. I bet you they'll keep at it.
They already know fur is a product of animal cruelty. Everybody knows that. But they buy it anyhow, because to be a fur hag is to be so fucking self-centered as to honestly believe that it's okay to breed, cage, torture and kill animals for fashion.
