3. night launches are amazing

i feel a mix of awe and terror every time they light those candles. I was screaming at the tv, separate! separate! what the hell? Over-reacting as usual, but I cannot forget how those SRBs malfunctioned and exploded the main tank in Challenger.

The view from the shuttle camera is amazing. We get to watch main engine cutoff in less than 2 minutes and watch the big orange tank slip away....

Having been lucky enough to witness one live was cool.

tv does not convey the deep rumbling sound of the rockets.
