LieberBush "will not rule out" joining GOP - live, MSNBC right now!!
Edited on Mon Mar-19-07 12:41 PM by rec_report
GOP troll, Joe LieberBush ("D"-CT), said he would 'not rule out' joining the GOP, when asked by Norah O'Donnell - MSNBC live.

:puke:

See also this mega barf alert (summary from CLG) from his biggest supporter, Hartford Courant 'reporter' David Lightman:
GOP Gave Lieberman a Boost --Money Poured In After Lieberman Primary Loss 19 Mar 2007 It's no secret that Joe LieberBush got strong support from Republicans last year, and that he has made strong overtures this year to Senate Republicans... But new data show the extent of the help he got from big GOP donors in the last weeks of his 2006 campaign, as they poured more than $1.5 million into his final pre-election push - with subtle but unmistakable help from the White House.

5. Nice. Joe Lieberman has an axe to grind with Democrats.
They didn't vote for him in the primary, so instead of taking his toys and going home like a good little Senator, he changed the way he played the game.

The Democrats in Connecticut don't have representation, just like I don't here in Oklahoma. Worse leadership would be difficult to find.

I sure wish Ned Lamont was sitting in that seat.

15. He'd be useless then, no?
Didn't they adopt some rule at the beginning of the Senate that still makes Reid the majority leader?

so, he'd be the most junior member of the minority party, and with Republics having 22 seats up for re-election in 2008, vs 11 Democratic seats, he'd really be powerless when we net 3-5 seats next election.

I say plug away with what needs to be done- Lieberman will look out for Lieberman first, as usual, and he's smart enough to know that means *not* switching to the GOP.

He will be 71 (?) years old for his next election. The way he behaves, I think he won't seek another run so I guess he doesn't care at all what the Dems in CT think. He doesn't worry about having to act in a way to get elected again. He might even be the next Zell as the year his term will end, there will be presidential elections as well.

I'm glad that we have the majority in the Senate because of all the Committees but he really is an ass. Where are all his supporters who pushed him during the Primary? I've never seen them again. I'd surely like to hear what they think, now.

with us in order to keep the committees in the Dem control. Remember it's 51-49, if he makes it official that he is a repuke, it's then 50-50 and Cheney's vote puts them back in control. So we are stuck with this turncoat at least until 2008.

If he keeps threatening to leave the party, why hasn't he pulled the trigger? Empty threats leave us all yawning.

I really think this is all payback from 2004 when Liebertwit thought he was entitled to the nomination. When he was roundly 'n soundly defeated he started plotting his revenge.

I'm not sure that even the Repukes want him. He so offended John Warner a few weeks ago that it's doubtful they'd want the Liebertwit millstone around *their* necks.

63. Right, that was just so that the little self-serving maggot could...
get more votes in the 2006 'election.'

67. And the DLC members on this board also fed that lie to us like it was sweet milk.
Add it to the list of things they were "accidentally" wrong about.

The biggest thing they got wrong being their support for & defense of Bush's invasion of Iraq.

57. In other words, dont trust a single solitary word a DLCer on DU ever tells you.
Or a DLCer in any other media for that matter.

They all supported him, then pretended not to after the fact.

59. He hasn't got the guts to change parties.
All he's doing is reading from the script the GOP handed him when they bought him this one last term in the Senate.

60. And no recall of Federal officials...
perhaps that needs to be changed. Those who voted for the scmuck got exactly what they deserve.
To those voters in Connecticut that didn't, I offer my condolences. Meanwhile, we all suffer.

68. Liebermouse was a republican years ago...
Edited on Mon Mar-19-07 04:16 PM by Hubert Flottz
Let him go ahead and throw in with the BushNazis, because he's already just exactly like them.

Edit..."He's already just like them." Yes he has memory failure like libby and gonzo and reagan...and he can't remember what he promised the voters during his campaign, but he CAN remember everything that he promised Karl Rove...during the campaign.

69. Let him!
He's not much of a Democrat. Since so many believe that the Democrats "don't have enough votes" to do anything anyway, why not liet this DINO cross over? At least that way when the Democrats are accused of not doing what they were voted in to do, they can point out that they don't have the majority and that it's the Republicans who are to blame.

75. He's bluffing
He doesn't want to cross over to a party on it's way to permanent minority status. I can't believe anyone would take his threats seriously. This party needs to tell him to put up or shut up.

78. Good! I hope he does so we can finally rid ourselves of this jackass.
LIEberMe is nothing but a pig and a neocon repuke who needs to just switch already.

Someone came up to me the other day and said that voting for the LIARman was a mistake. Yes, thanks to this bastard and others in this fine state who ate up the LIES with a spoon, the rest of us good folk are stuck with this bloviating goon for six years. Sorry, saying that it was a mistake is a little too late. I hope those who voted for this freak have nightmares for the next six years.

As for the LIARman, as much as I would like him to switch now, he won't. He will switch when we pick up more seats in 2008 and we can finally kick the trash out to the curb.

Damn you LIEberMe.
