6. I'd have to read more on the subject |
but Turley says he'd have to name each of them for starters and that could have international implications - war crimes. Says if Bush pardoned himself it would be 100 times worse than Clinton pardoning his brother.

8. War crimes are against the Geneva Convention rules - can he even |
pardon anyone FOR the world community? The WWII crimes were tried by a world court.

2. I thought it was interesting when he said that Bush would have to identify the crimes. |
If he does, he will have outlined his "legacy".

no Dem will even try to hold him accountable, and if one tries, this party leadership will destroy them politically.

5. I don't think courts or US attys should be bound to respect a "blanket" pardon |
a blanket pardon is a meaningless pardon. Anyone accused of any crime whatsoever should claim that they are covered by this "pardon", since they were acting for the defense of the American people. One absurd claim is as good as another.

9. I don't see how you can pardon people who have not been |
charged for a crime - what will he call them - preemptive pardons?

11. Ford Gave Nixon a Blanket Pardon |
Ford pardoned Nixon for all crimes he might possibly have ever committed, without specifying any of them.
