OH BOY! Feinstein now in the Senate and Thom Hartmann today.

Sen. Feinstein has been speaking on the Senate floor for about 1/2 hour, reviewing the timeline and multiple explainations from the AG for firing the 8 US Attorneys. About 10 minutes ago,she began explaining some of the cases these atty's were working on. It seems 7 of the 8 were working on public corruption cases, and Carol Lam was fired 2 days after she notified the DOJ that she was filing new inditments on Fogo and Wilkes!

In the backgrround, I've been streaming Thom Hartmann's show. He read an article from Think Progress.org that ties DICK CHENEY into the Cunningham/Fog/Wilkes case!!!!

To recap, the White House awarded a one-month, $140,000 contract to an individual who never held a federal contract. Two weeks after he got paid, that same contractor used a cashier’s check for exactly that amount to buy a boat for a now-imprisoned congressman at a price that the congressman had pre-negotiated.

That should raise questions about the White House’s involvement.

The contract with the WH was for furniture and computer equipment for DICK CHENEY'S office, and ws for exactly $140,000! Two weeeks later that same contractor buys a boat for Cunningham for....$140,000!

7. You miss the link! The contract to redo Cheney's office was for the

exact same $ amount as the cost of the boat, and the boat was purchased2 weeks after Wilkes got the contract, AND A CASHIERS CHECK FOR $140,000!

Yes, I know $140,000 was Cheney's bill and the cost of the boat to Duke Cunningham was the same. I was being funny averaging the estimate of shrub's bar bill to come out to the same amount. Actually, it's probably much higher, considering the price of Condi's peanuts.

there is simply too much there - Duke Cunningham, Hookergate, 600million + of DOD 'contracts' - it's all going to come back into the light of day. 10. Offer Cunningham a deal - a reduced sentence if he cooperates

I think Cunningham is serving such a long sentence (8 1/2 years) he may very well die in prison. I'd offer him a chance to rehabilitate himself and shorten his time served if he knows anything about the Cheney connection and can provide prosecutors with the details. Of course, we'd probably need some real US Attorneys in the Department Of Justice for that, perhaps a fairer AG who might replace Gonzo if he resigns.
