This is a NECESSARY part of the public discourse, i.e. the recognition of how ***WE*** (not just Republicans, not just Democrats - WE) are creating this situation TOGETHER, in spite of our differences, which are REAL and to be valued, but the DIFFERENCES are NOT ALL there is. The SIMILARITIES are REAL and actively there at work in the situation too. The ways in which we are the same (and different) have added up to the situation we are in and it is very refreshing to hear anyone admit that in public . . . . even if, as in Randi's case, it is so far only about the catalogs that the Middle Class is hooked on instead of educating themselves on the facts.
