Conservative personality Glenn Beck was accosted at his local Wendy's Saturday night, he said Monday on his radio show. In his attempt to procure a Frosty — "Everybody wants a Frosty," he said — he was stopped by a truck driver with food in his hair and called a "racist bigot."
"I wanted to say, I think you have me mistaken for someone else, but I knew he knew who I was and he just hated me for who I was," Beck said.
Beck's full Wendy's rant below:
It happened to me at Wendy's Saturday night. We are on the bus and we stop to get fuel and I said, I'm going to go in, I'm treating. Everybody wants a Frosty. I'm going to go get Frosties. And one of the security guys, said, No, you're not. I said, Yeah, I am. I mean, it's a truck stop. How much trouble am I going to get in in a truck stop? Everybody here you can trust. You're not going in. I went in, but I had to bring the swat team with me and so I'm just, I just want to Frosty, please, the guy standing next to me, who, by the way, I may point out. Had food in his hair, is a truck driver and he turned around. He looked at me and the recognition was immediate and he said, You racist bigot! And I just said -- I wanted to say, I think you have me mistaken for someone else, but I knew he knew who I was and he just hated me for who I was. You conservatives that have destroyed this country! And the hatred was so deep, it was breath taking. Luckily the swat team was there and I just separated myself from him and he just shouted through other people and there were children in the restaurant and he blamed me for everything, I believe including the Holocaust, and the hatred was palpable. The guy screamed at the restaurant, you better not let me see you in the parking lot because I've got a truck and I'll run your ass over! Wow. Is this who we've become? Is this who we've become?

 Wish they were all called out whenever they venture in to the public! Yay for the unknown truck driver - and I bet the guy didn't have food in his hair.
On edit here's his whole rant - he prayed it away - yeah right! And the b*stard is saying under Obama we're going to become the Soviet Union. Idiot! For the last 8 years we've felt like we were becoming Nazi Germany! No Beck, under Obama we're once more becoming the USA that was so respected under Presidents like Lincoln, FDR, JFK, Clinton, etc.
GLENN: It's Monday and the grind is back on us. Good news is, though, next week is Thanksgiving. So, really, I mean, we are -- I mean by Wednesday of this week, you can just, you know, just skate, really, until, like, January -- will with, I was going to say January 1st but nobody's really back in the swing of things until about the 8th. So, really on Wednesday America can kind of just kind of go, well, it's time for me to kind of just clean my desk off. I'll be back January 8th. Do you know what I'm saying? I mean, we'll all show up at work but we ain't getting a damn thing doing. Let's be honest with each other. It's like we're Congress or something like that. So, this weekend I was out in five different states and it was a whirlwind -- if I met you, especially by Saturday afternoon, I can remember our conversations but I can't tell you what city or state I was in at the time. But I met all these, so many great, great people and there are a couple of things that happened. One, I'm on these book signing tours and in every single stop there was at least one person that came up and said, I'm from the Soviet block, the former Soviet block. I escaped or I lived under the Soviet Union. And they begged me -- almost every single time they had tears in their eyes and they were begging me, please don't stop talking. They know what's coming. They've lived it. They've lived it. Fear in their eyes like I haven't seen in the eyes of an American because they know, they've seen the movie before.
The other thing that happened was I saw, I saw people change this weekend. It was incredible. And I want to share a list that I wrote yesterday of -- you know, I talk to you on this program and I bring you the problems, but I want to bring you solutions today. I want to bring you something that you can actually do, something that will make a difference, but I want to frame it -- I want to frame it with this story. I could stand in line with Michael Moore and I wouldn't say that to him. I would say some things to Michael Moore, but it wouldn't be that. Is this who we've become? I believe there is a caldron of hatred on both sides, but the left is quite frightening. The extreme right is frightening, as well. I don't care if you're a Republican, Democrat, or independent. I don't care who you voted for. We cannot become that person. No matter how passionate -- it took everything in me, it took everything in me not to say anything to him. I mean, I was just is a -- I was feeling the rage inside of me and, quite honestly, I prayed it away. "New, from God, it's prayaway." Bing! Because I was enraged we've got to disconnect from that and we have to try -- and that's why I said to you the day after Obama was elected, please, let's treat the man the way we wanted the left to treat George Bush and, that is, with a healthy dose of skepticism but let's talk about his policies. Let's not just hate him. He hasn't done anything yet. Even if he does do it, I disagree with his policies, I may disagree with some of his principles. I don't know yet. Let's see what he does and let's not hate.
