Police: Smith Judge Caught Using Pot
Judge Lawrence Korda Puffing In Park, Police Say


HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- A Broward County judge who was part of the Anna Nicole Smith proceedings was discovered smoking pot in a Hollywood park Sunday and will have to appear in court for his actions, according to police.

Judge Lawrence Korda was in Stanley Goldman Park, near Hollywood Boulevard Sunday around 2 p.m., police said. When police patrolling the park smelled marijuana, they followed the scent and found Korda seated on a bench, police said.

Korda, 59, was not arrested but was issued a notice to appear in court and faces a charge for marijuana possession, according to police.

Korda currently is a judge in Broward County family court.

I'm so sick of this Anna Nicole crap. Crimony, how long did it take them to bury her. I feel bad for the kid. Get the DNA, figure out who the father is, then sort out who gets the money. I guarantee that if probate court determines that the baby isn't getting any money under Anna's will would change their stories and say, "That ain't my baby!"
Meanwhile, this kind of shit goes a lot (like most shit in this country) but you only hear about it when it involves rich celebs.

Yeah, he's family court "currently", but he's 59, lots of time for a career move or two. Did he start out with a criminal court gig, sending his fellow potheads to the pen? Inquiring minds want to know.

Marijuana laws are senseless. Legalize it already! Control, regulate and possibly subsidize the industry from cultivation through sales, much like the alcohol and tobbacco industries. Tax the sales on the finished product. We'd knock a dent in the deficit in no time.
