My advice to the next Democratic administration: Tell the truth no matter what!

I don't care how embarrassing something is or how bad it looks give the full and complete truth now matter what the consequences. Get in front of the cameras and answer any question the media has. If the media isn't asking all the right questions bring up anything they may have forgot to ask anyway. Thats right. Offer more information to the media than they are even asking for. Open up the books for them. Even if it hurts a little at the time. And keep answering questions until the media is tired of asking them. And when the media gets tired of asking questions tell them you will be available any time in the future to answer more questions after they are rested up a bit. Everyone admires honesty. I know I do.

This is the recipe for a clean administration. One that the American people will trust again. It won't be easy. But nothing worthwhile is.

It really is the cover-up rather than the crime that gets people in all the trouble as well as it it should be. Americans can understand making mistakes because everyone makes them. But no one likes being lied to like we are stupid or something. At least I don't.

My dad always told me it is always easy to remember the truth. Hard to remember a lie.

maybe younger... if someone has to be reminded to tell the truth, we don't need them in positions of power... anywhere.... at any time...

I dream of the day when politicians know they have no choice but to do what you suggest, or we'll boot their asses for being sneaky assholes around their bosses (that would be We, the People). No boss in the private sector would tolerate the number of lies we are asked to swallow.

4. I think one of the Presidential candidates

Should put in their platform that they will add cameras to all areas of the executive branch in every department that is not involved in national security. Then the nation could have links to each and every policy meeting and discussion that is held. Truly open government. Every session would be recorded for future viewing for those that can not watch live. This would include the White House. The only exclusions would be the war room, the oval office and maybe couple other rooms. The Treasury, Education,Commerce, EPA and other such office would have total access.

5. Pffft... yeah right...

Persons of wealth/fame/power need to maintain "control" of their image. No different than an actor plays a role to convince an audience. If they were not willing to do/say anything to secure their position they would not be able to maintain their position. And of course maintaining "position" is the end-game. In todays world, the only people that can actually "speak their mind" and those on the very extremes of the income spectrum. Neither has anything to loose from their statements so they offer them freely.

Granted its a great and noble idea... unfortunately human nature (and to some degree wealth) does not operate that way.
