Isn't it obvious what BushCo is doing? re: "Reports the surge is working."
This was their last best hope to keep troops in Iraq indefinitely to act as government paid goons to protect their embassy-building and oil-extracting endeavors. Now, after four years, on the anniversary of the fiasco's "shock and awe," adding a few thousand more troops has begun to turn it all around.

How do we know this?

Why, the administration told us, of course! I mean, they've told us the truth for the past four years, right? They never bullshit us, right? "Turning a corner." "Last throes." and who could forget "Mission Accomplished."

I hope there are a few Cabal News staffers reading this who might pass a clue on to their "superiors." Any of you fucking goons (Joe Scarborough was the first I saw) who dares to go on air and spout this nonsense with a straight face ought to be absolutely ashamed of themselves. You can only claim you're not a whore for so long...sooner or later you have to face facts: you're getting fucked for money, plain and simple. But the fucking you're giving America...there is no compensation for that. Any of you slime-bag "anchors" who try to advance this bullshit "surge is working" meme better wipe the Bush jizz off your chins before you appear on air again.

2. You betcha!
LOL!

I caught the first minute of Scarborough before I could lunge for the remote, and realized how many times I've heard "The surge (may be) working!" line on the Cabal News Networks lately. Every one of 'em. Almost like it's...scripted! Or at least, faxed to them.

4. And the Iraqis want us to stay!
So says their MSNBC poll, which conveniently neglects to mention who they polled and where they were polled. Catapulting the propaganda is just that easy!

3. Most excelent Rant...did you see the beginning of
Scarborough...he was talking to Brian Williams from NBC and William said everything going great, except he said that he had amazing protection from our military men and women....hmmmm

so my question Brian is if it were so safe why would you need military protection like you did to keep you safe?

Just sayin....

5. Great rant..
... and yes I've noticed it also. I still listen to NPR news on occassion, and they are trotting out similar stories. Carefully note that they always talk about Bagdad, or qualify their claim in some other way so as to keep it from being a blatant lie.

I do beleive that more and more Americans on on to their game and sick of the bullshit. Our men are still dying every day. They can't stop the violence with these tactics, they can only temporarily displace it, and what sucks is THEY KNOW IT. The great white hope shining light General Patreus is a big fucking liar just like the rest of them.

6. Inconvenient truth: The surge *is* suppressing the violence in Baghdad
There really are fewer clashes between militias and between our troops and the militias. The surge caused this. The problem is that the militias are simply "lying low" since they know we can't sustain this surge for long. So while what the news is reporting is factually true, the reality is that what the surge is doing is expending American blood and gold simply to delay the violence.

Again, let's give the devil his due. In theory, if you suppress the violence long enough, there is a chance that some militia members will find real jobs and thus not be able to go about fighting in the future. That's a big maybe, of course, and it ignores the reality that we really can't sustain this surge for more than a few months... and that even if we did sustain the surge, the ending of the violence wouldn't benefit the United States one whit. Iraqis will still hate us for what we've done to their country and done to their men and they'll still end up being Iran's ally against the United States for the foreseeable future.

8. proving to the public, once again, that jr is delusional?
and that some in the media are really afraid to point out the emperor's new clothes for fear of an FCC decency fine if they point the cameras to really show those new clothes?
