1. early 2000-1 link tv had a live feed program

between young iraqi college students and american students..through out the program one could see and hear that there were few differences between these young people. what i took away from the program is that young adults are pretty much the same all around the world. i got a laugh from the guy in new york was really interested in the girl from iraq..i think they wanted to get to know each other!

just a few months after the war started the film crew went back to try and find the same students...they found just a couple. the girl who i mentioned was interviewed and to say the least she was pissed off at the americans. her father could no longer work while she was working thus demeaning her father.she was ranting that they had to have a gun now to protect themselves which they never had to do before. only god knows where the other students were and where they might be now. they could be fighting the american soldiers that years ago would have sat down and had a conversation about all the things they had in common.

and what will become of our tragedy? i suppose that is for the future to decide and god willing a future that is far brighter than where we all live now.
