They still "don't get it" at Bostons Logan Airport.
From the same great folks that brought you the bulk of 9-11 comes this gem.

http://www.enterprisenews.com/homepage/x42901359/Rockland-man-charged-with-posing-as-armed-federal-agent-on-cross-country-flights

BOSTON —

A Rockland man posed as an armed federal agent to bypass security while flying to and from Boston and San Diego, federal authorities said today.

Stephen Grant, 48, was arrested today and charged with falsely impersonating a federal agent and making false statements, in connection with his actions early last year, said the office of U.S. Attorney Michael Sullivan.

According to court documents, Grant – the director of medical sales for a Rockland medical supply company – approached an American Airlines ticket counter on January 1, 2007, at Boston’s Logan Airport. He quickly flashed a badge, which he had from his part-time job as assistant harbor master for the town of Chatham.

Grant then filled out a “flying-while-armed form,” suggesting that he would traveling with a weapon, and wrote that he worked for the Department of Homeland Security, according to the affidavit. With the form and badge in hand, he then bypassed security and boarded the plane through an exit lane, court
documents said.

1. Arrest him for exposing security leaks. Yeah, sounds about right.
:eyes:

But of course they HAVE to do that to justify (?) their own sorry existence.

3. I've flown in and out of there a hundred times.
My favorite part of any trip abroad is returning to the customs area where there's been a big, freaking ugly picture of GWB hanging in greeting, these last eight years. Thank GAWD it's coming down. I may have to go to Costa Rica just to see the new Obama pic.

yeah, it's off topic, but security breaches... does anybody really believe they're secure when flying?

8. Leave it alone and let it explore the site.
Science, Cooking and Baking, maybe it will find it's way to the Lounge for a bar snack. It's not returning posts (yet) so it won't be much fun to tolerate but at least its not planning on posting here for years before showing it's ass.

11. Would it kill the United States to ask a country like Israel to teach us how to secure our airports?
Israelis take airport security seriously, dead seriously. They have no other option.
