Jackson Limo Service gives out 8,000 Turkeys

to the needy in Los Angeles. People have been standing in line for hours to get a turkey for Thanksgiving.

Johnson's is a famous African American owned company and the owner said on TV that as long as he has someone in line they will get a turkey for their family.

I live close to the location and traffic as been tied up, helicopters were flying over the site yesterday to take pictures.

Let's all hope that next Thanksgiving will be brighter for the world.

1. I'm glad they are doing this.

On the other hand I'm not sure I'll be able to eat Turkey this year after watching the Palin video about 10 times.

2. Most of the people in line have children to feed

and they probably didn't get a chance to watch that terrible Palin.

I stood in line last night in the grocery store for 10 minutes and I had the nerve to get tired.

I went to a market pretty close to the Turkey Distribution center and noticed that people did not have a lot of food in their carts.

There were also lots of basics in their carts -- potatoes,rice etc.

I didn't see anyone with "flowers for the table" or toys.

Just the basics.
