Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson to Hannity: Let's have a debate - but not on Fox News

http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=1009576

<snip>

"He doesn't want an actual debate," Hannity said. "He wants a joint press conference. I said, 'If that's the case, I might as well send a video in.' There's no point in flying out to Salt Lake City to debate someone who doesn't want to debate."

Hannity went on to say Anderson won't return his calls and is putting up roadblocks to stall a debate.

According to the Deseret Morning News, Anderson's office says Hannity will only allow FOX News, the local FOX affiliate, and KSL radio to cover the debate since he considers them loyal affiliates.

A spokesman for Anderson said if Hannity wants an open, public debate media access should not be limited to print and broadcast outlets he has financial ties to.

Anderson was originally scheduled to debate Hannity on "Hannity and Colmes" on March 8, but producers canceled the segment.

1. Hannity is a coward
I'm sure I don't have to tell you that - but he's not going to step in the ring till he is sure he has the referees bought off.

3. He's clever enough to realize . . .
That he can't do his schtik unless he controls the setting. He's the one who doesn't want a true debate. And the outlets "he has financial ties to" comment really zings him.

4. Why do the corporate media whores *still* think they're omniscient?
They're clowns, pure and simple. Nothing else. Their sole purpose is to entertain. And it's been proven time and time again that what they know amounts to a thimble-full.

Let's have debates where the moderators are learned professionals, like the poli-sci, economics, philosophy, and sociology instructors and professors of the local colleges and universities. Leave the ****ing "journalists" out of it. They only use such "debates" for self-aggrandizement or to advance further their pimps' agendas.

I, for one, would like to hear questions of substance asked of candidates, and not whether or not "god" has a place in their life...
