Wooooodamnwhooo Mr. Grijavla
Dear Friends,
In our country, we confront rightwing forces who have enabled an unending war in Iraq, abuses of the Constitution, environmental decline, immigrant-bashing, exploitation of workers, and the like.
But we confront an even more dangerous force: cynicism.
That’s why I’m so proud to be associated with Progressive Democrats of America, and proud to be on its Advisory Board. PDA is an antidote to cynicism. Instead of grumbling that you can’t fight the big guys or the big corporations, PDA rolls up its sleeves and organizes and mobilizes voters . . . and wins.
I look forward to meeting PDAers from coast to coast at the Grassroots Leadership Conference on March 23-25 in D.C. I’ll be there on Friday, March 23.
PDA doesn’t just challenge the rightwing. It also fights within the Democratic Party to return the party of the people to the people. I’ve seen PDA activists organizing in Tucson and throughout Arizona and the country -- and I’ve seen the coalitions they are building.
We in the 71-member strong Congressional Progressive Caucus rely on the grassroots support generated by PDA and its allies.
If PDA gets stronger, the progressive voice on Capitol Hill gets stronger.
Thank you, PDA, for your work. And hope to see some of you in Washington.
Sincerely,
Rep. Raul M. Grijalva
