I was thinking....dont most people just go to a doctor's office for a check up? Dick "was taken" to the hospital. Are they trying to distract from Gonzo-gate? Are they laying the foundation for a "health reason" departure?

1. As Veep, Cheney does not drive. Of course he "was taken".

2. As Veep, Cheney's doctor visits must be at a secure location. The local DC leg clinic is not likely as secure as a military hospital.

3. Cheney never quits. Bushco cannot function without him or Rummy. If Cheney "steps down" all he does is set up an office someplace else to run things while a willing dupe takes over Veep.
