A few words from Thomas Jefferson
(with comments)

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good. (signing statements?)

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary Powers.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries. (so replace "judges" with U.S. attorneys)

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance. (Homeland Security, FBI abuse of "Patriot Act")

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury: (think of Gitmo)

For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:

For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies

For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

And there are those who think our current boy King shouldn't be impeached?

3. This is one of the nicer names I call him
- in fact it's one of the nicer things he's called on this board. You don't want to know what my mother says when he's on T.V. I didn't know she knew words like that.

2. I am sure it is how these people think. The mind set that their
is a class of people who should run the country has always been with us right back to Jefferson's times. Look who could vote in those days. I recall having a fight once with a women who said since I was a renter and did not pay property tax I should have no right to vote. I pointed out to her that I lived their with a man who was ordered to live their through the military and I paid property tax as the owner of the house got them from me to pay them. Plus on top of that the govt. paid the school system for each of my children in school and if any one should not be able to vote it was her if she was looking at voting as being money. Not voting for this or that reason has many reasons to be used to keep people away from the polls and let the 'right' class run things. You can hear it on c-span. Many times you know that the people calling in are maybe called educated in how they talk but reason does not always come from them and often comes from the man who does not sound like he came from the educational class. Interesting. Schooling does not always make a man of reason for sure. We have a well educated man in the WH but so far he does not understand the ways of this country in his power grab.
