Cheney's office lied about having an examination scheduled.
Now they're saying he experienced some discomfort thus sought attention.

If he's dead of a heart attack, we should find out within the next few weeks.

3. I'm sure they must be very worried about Cheney.
He has a history of heart ailments, and the stress of his office is a real concern. Now that his dirty deeds are being aired, the stress levels for Cheney and Bush have got to be going through the roof right now.

I'm sure they aren't going to be taking any chances with Cheney at this point in time. If he breaks a fingernail, it's to the Doctor for surgical cleanup, antibiotic treatment, and 24/7 medical care until the nail is repaired.

It only costs the American taxpayer $45,000 per hour, so no biggie...

5. Will we then have to suffer through a reaganesque funeral?
with every jackbooted asshole "conservative" singing his praises. Flying his body back and forth the countryside to be shown to all good bush backers and then dumped in his old homestead facing the sunset.

6. Oh, geeeeeez, he must be up to his ass in the Gonzalez mess, tooooooo!!!!!
Every time the shit hits the fan, that bastard clutches the pearls.

If it isn't a clot in his leg, it's discomfort. Anything to get the hell off the stage and into a room off the wings, so the heat isn't directed at him.

12. Didn't you know? Repeat after me... CAROL LAM... CAROL LAM.....
- - Now remember... THESE are the people who promised to bring honor and integrity back to the White House. Uh-huh.

"but spokesman Tony Snow said he didn’t know whether the embattled attorney general had contained the political damage."

- - SOP for BushCo. Contain the damage, to hell with the truth.

Former House Republican Leader Tom DeLay said Tuesday the scandal “is just a taste of what’s goingt to be like for the next two years. And the Bush administration sort of showed their weakenss when they got rid of Don Rumseld,” the Texan said on NBC’s “Today” show. “... This is a made up scandal. There is no evidence of wrongdoing whatsoever. ...

- - Somebody PLEASE tell me why this criminal is still on TV giving opinions as if he were actually credible?

- - Most importantly, the case they're not even mentioning in the press is the worst, as usual... Remember this name: CAROL LAM.

- - Evidently Darth Cheney was involved in the pay for play/bribery game with the Duke and Wade. The only difference is DARTH CHENEY USED TAXPAYER MONEY for the payola.

Referring to the Bush administration’s purge of former San Diego-based U.S. attorney Carol Lam, Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) questioned recently on the Senate floor whether she was let go because she was “about to investigate other people who were politically powerful.”

There are reports that among Lam’s politically powerful targets were former CIA official Kyle “Dusty” Foggo and then-House Appropriations Committee Chairman Jerry Lewis (R-CA). But there is evidence to believe that the White House may also have been on Lam’s target list. Here are the connections:

– Washington D.C. defense contractor Mitchell Wade pled guilty last February to paying then-California Rep. Randy “Duke” Cunningham more than $1 million in bribes.

– Wade’s company MZM Inc. received its first federal contract from the White House. The contract, which ran from July 15 to August 15, 2002, stipulated that Wade be paid $140,000 to “provide office furniture and computers for Vice President Cheney.”

– Two weeks later, on August 30, 2002, Wade purchased a yacht for $140,000 for Duke Cunningham. The boat’s name was later changed to the “Duke-Stir.” Said one party to the sale: “I knew then that somebody was going to go to jail for that…Duke looked at the boat, and Wade bought it — all in one day. Then they got on the boat and floated away.”

– According to Cunningham’s sentencing memorandum, the purchase price of the boat had been negotiated through a third-party earlier that summer, around the same time the White House contract was signed.

To recap, the White House awarded a one-month, $140,000 contract to an individual who never held a federal contract. Two weeks after he got paid, that same contractor used a cashier’s check for exactly that amount to buy a boat for a now-imprisoned congressman at a price that the congressman had pre-negotiated.

17. I also believe, Carol Lam was the chief cause of his discomfort.
She was getting too close to home with her investigations.

16. Cheney Has Follow-Up Exam For Blood Clot

(AP) Vice President Dick Cheney went back to George Washington University Hospital Tuesday for a follow up examination in connection with a blood clot discovered in his leg.

"He's getting a routine follow up on his leg. It's just a routine checkup," said spokeswoman Megan McGinn.

19. Well now, you can't expect them . . .
. . . to go more than a few hours without lying, do you?

He could take a shotgun to his whole staff, and the first report would be, "Routine check-up for Cheeeeeney's staff."

These fuckers are unbelievable liars!

21. Cheney Sees Doctor for `Routine' Checkup on Leg, Aide Says
March 20 (Bloomberg) -- Vice President Dick Cheney was being examined at George Washington University Medical Center today as part of a checkup following his March 5 treatment for a blood clot in his lower left leg, an aide said.

``He's at his doctor's office for a routine follow up,'' spokeswoman Megan McGinn said. ``It's not an emergency.''
