"Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust to Hold Pro-Life Boot Camp"
Aside from everything else, doesn't this sound like a rollicking good time for a kid?

=====

LOS ANGELES, Mar. 20 /Christian Newswire/ -- Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, a pro-life youth organization, will hold the 10th annual ProLife Training Camp in Los Angeles, California from June 27 to July 8.

Over 50 young people, ages 14 and up, from across the nation will travel to Southern California to participate in what many have dubbed "pro-life boot camp."

Featured in the Los Angeles Times, Jane and Teen People, the high energy 12-day camp offers an opportunity for high school and college-age youth who want to be trained in effective pro-life activism.

"I have always felt that abortion is wrong," says Angelique Guarneri, age 15, who will be attending the camp again this year. "But until I went to camp last year, I didn't feel like I could articulate why."

She continues, "Survivors has helped me to see that my age is not an obstacle to my voice being heard on critical issues such as abortion. Instead, I feel that my age is an asset. Who better to speak about abortion than someone who had a 1 in 3 chance of being a victim themselves?"

6. Young, impressionable and without a full education or life experience to draw from.
Sorry, a 15 year old preaching to me about life just isn't going to cut it. I'm over twice her age. Live a little and then pop off. :eyes:

5. "Over 50 young people" !
...where will they house them all, and in a town the size of Los Angeles, no less?

And what's the 1 in 3? Is that the rate in the Fundie WASP demographic? Do people still "go to visit her aunt" for a couple of weeks?

15. 1 in 3 chance! What's so hard to understand?!?
The mother was not pro-choice, but pro-chance. Toss a coin. It lands heads, tails, or stands on edge. One in three chance. What about this is so hard for you libruls to understand?

Sheesh!

10. I knew I would be sorry if I opened this
thread but it is yours Bluebear so I had to.

We will see how little miss Angelique feels when she is 17, makes a mistake (such a convenient way of saying it) and ends up pregnant with parents who would do anything ANYTHING to keep others from seeing that they were not the perfect parents because their little girl is not the perfect child. Then what will she think?

I know, that is just one circumstance and very presumptuous of me but it happens like that more often than they would like to acknowledge.

Interesting that they teach "science".

13. The end result
will be a generation of loud mouthed, totally fucked up adults who feel guilty if they even think about sex. That kind of thing does not always stop when you reach adulthood or when you marry. I know too many who suffer from being brought up like that. I come from an entire family of them. Thankfully my father was the black sheep of the family and we were not put through that.

Effective pro-life activism, hmmm. Keeping women from entering clinics? Blowing up clinics? Shooting suspected abortion Docs through the windows? Throwing acid? Or simply being a loud mouthed, obnoxious know it all at the age of 14 trying to tell a 24 year old what the deal is.

14. Parental Notification/Consent Laws
Precisely why these people have their heads under a rock. They ASSUME that if somebody is already a parent they won't "abort their grandchildren".

If they pass these laws, they will be in for a rude awakening.

12. Oh great
Like teenagers aren't self-centered enough. So now there's this camp that manipulates them into anti-choice activity by exploiting their need for validation and attention.

Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust....:eyes:

BTW, is anyone else more than a little creeped out by the way forced birthers use nubile adolescents to front their cause? This is typical of a lot of cults.
