Another congressional seat to be decided this Saturday

The 2nd congressional district in Louisiana currently represented by Dollar Bill Jefferson will be on the ballot this Saturday.

The republican candidate is a Vietnam refugee running in his first race and is getting alot of gop support during this last week.

I think the district and the country can be best served if Mr Jefferson, who will soon go on trial, (members of his family have already been convicted) loses Saturday.

in this race (and I am not a resident of that district):

Mr Cao might be the lesser of two evils.

4. Its really a sad commentary

The choice: A crook who is loved by many Dems in the district and a religious fanatic with "conservative" values who seems to be a hard working honest individual. Rock and a hard place for the district. And sadly, the Dems passed up a very good candidate who lost to Jefferson in the primary.
