3. Or laterally transferred
"What's with this resignation stuff?" wonder the Republicans. "It's not like they were caught in bed with a live boy or a dead woman. Several times." Instead, they'd be out in front of every camera and microphone denouncing the Democrats for being soft on terror.

they resign and/or are sometimes prosecuted. So, too are business managers who harm the public. In China, those who harm through fraud and corruption are often executed.

In the US, they just collect multi million $$ bonuses...

5. Had the same thought yesterday
It's called accountability - a word that does not exist in the Bushco vocabulary.

13. Just IMHO but I think most are being forced out..current admin trying to save their own asses

Going by their local news via live stream, the fact that there is a general election in 4 months has alot to do with all of these "resignations"...it is more that the current Indian administration is doing whatever it will take to decrease Indians' anger towards them than any honor or integrity on the part of those who are "resigning".
They know in 4 months time, this anger may translate into them being voted out of office.

The second guy that resigned went on their national TV and called the Mumbai attack "a small incident"...not cool...within a day his resignation was reported.
The next guy who is supposed to resign is their Chief Minister who brought along his actor son and a film director to tour the Taj Hotel damage, causing a huge "WTF did he bring THEM along for" from the media and Indians.
All of this is on top of reports that the government ignored early warnings about the planned attack.
Here is the live stream for their news:
http://ibnlive.in.com/videos/video_streaming.php

Basically, the local news is saying all these resignations are doing nothing to decrease Indians' anger towards their current gov. administration.
