Anyone catch The View this morning? Rosie had to reign in Elizabeth.

Rory Kennedy, RFK's daughter, was on the show. She was talking about a new documentary she's made called "The Ghosts of Abu Graib". Anyway, long story short...Elizabeth started in on Rory with all her right wing talking points. She basically said it was just a few bad apples and there were no orders from above, and that torturing prisoners might be keeping us safe, blah blah blah. All that shit. But the thing is, Elizabeth started out by asking Rory a question about her documentary, but just would not shut up, lecturing her and not letting her answer. Finally, Rosie said Elizabeth should just ask a question and could not "blather on" like this, and that Rory was a guest on their show to talk about her movie. It was really good, and it worked because Elizabeth backed down. If anyone knows where the clip of this is on the net I'd love to see it again.

the documentary addressed that very question, pointing out that some of the techniques had been used historically. The chance that these young soldiers would have stumbled on the very same stress position or whatever was unlikely. They had to have been instructed by someone higher-up.

My aunt taped it on the vcr for me. I rewound that part to watch it again. Hearing Rosie tell her she couldn't just blather on like that was one of those moments you just want to relive over and over, because it was so long overdue. Somebody needs to teach "Elizabeth" some manners. Damn, shut the fuck up when a guest is talking.
