In other words, we're more than happy to have him come and lie to you about anything you care to ask......

1. Not good enough.
If they have nothing to hide, then they should be willing to testify under oath. This is bull crap.

3. Look it is the executive branches right to lie if they choose to
That's what you call separation of powers; it means that the Executive can do whatever it likes and to hell with the Legislative.

2. Demands? What demands? I thought they were going to issue subpoenas.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House offered on Tuesday to make President George W. Bush's senior political adviser, Karl Rove, available to congressional investigators but rejected Democratic demands he testify under oath regarding the firings of U.S. attorneys.

5. I can't think of any president who didn't try to pull this shit
of claiming executive privilege every time some underling was caught with his hand in the cookie jar, or worse.

Let's hope Congress doesn't let him get away with it this time, either.

4. Rove

If he's got nothing to hide, what's the problem with testifying under oath?

GWB wouldn't tolerate a liar in his cabinet, would he?

6. Surely you're not suggesting
he would dissemble.

I caught him on CSPAN recently when he 'explained' why * got more votes in 04 (after bungling the nation and removing any doubt of his idiocy) and he said the R's:
1. Identified undecided voters
2. Rigorously implemented one-on-one conversations with networks of people to find one respected R to persuade the undecided to vote for *

Good strategy. Thanks KKKarl.

9. As Conyers put it today, there are penalties for lying to congress
So he is in trouble if he lies, sworn or not.

Here is a ranking of the best ways for us to get to the bottom of this.

1. Testimony under oath
2. Deposition
3. Interviews (what we're getting)
4. Two guys chit chatting on a street corner.
