“After telling a bunch of different stories about why they fired the U.S. Attorneys, the Bush Administration is not entitled to the benefit of the doubt. Congress and the American people deserve a straight answer. If Karl Rove plans to tell the truth, he has nothing to fear from being under oath like any other witness.”

20. Reid was talking about the oath itself, not the substance of the testimony.

If Rove plans to tell the truth he has nothing to fear from being under oath, in and of itself. I don't think anyone would contend that Rove has nothing to fear from the substance of his own testimony, which is of course why * wants him to do it in an out of the way room with no oath or transcript.
