26. This one is my worst nightmare

I can't even begin to explain what happens to my chest when I see this photo. It tightens, my lips turn down, like the muscles in my lips have a reaction all their own with only subconscious thought controlling them. It moves to my shoulders & the middle of my back and they all begin to ache. Then I start to grind my teeth, again all subconsciously. It moves to my belly, and my belly begins to contract, my thighs tighten & the inner muscles of my legs bunch up...my heart, can you feel your heart? seems to ache causing all my upper chest cavity to spasm and all my muscles seem so tense, then tears well up in my eyes. I want to hold this child, hide her eyes from the gore and tell her ...it's not real...it's okay, it's not real..you will be alright. And I know in the depth of my soul, that she will never be alright. Then finally there is no damn that can stop the tears, and they spill from my eyes and trickle down my cheeks in a flood. How in the world can I ever comfort her. I can't. And I feel so much less, and feel humanity is so much less. There is nothing else to say.
