And, Condi, dear, "cutting short" your European tour should have meant skipping playing the piano for the Queen... ah, well, at least Condi wasn't off buying SHOES again.

NEW DELHI: Influential US Senator John McCain, who unsuccessfully ran for President, arrived here Tuesday on an unscheduled visit to show solidarity in the wake of Mumbai terror attacks and discussed the issue with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.


McCain, the Republican party leader, was on his way to Bangladesh and Bhutan but he made a stopover here in view of the Mumbai strikes, sources said.

Soon after his arrival, he met the Prime Minister during which the terror attacks and aspects related to it were discussed.

McCain's brief trip of few hours came a day ahead of the visit of US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who has been asked by President George W Bush to cut short her Europe tour and travel to India to discuss the situation arising out of the Mumbai attacks.

he is a Senator (one of 100) of the United States, and we have shown the world that even after a hard fought campaign, once again we can have a peaceful and orderly transition of power in our country, that there is hope for that region and we stand with them in that hope.

Or perhaps you are correct that he is just a doddering old fool that doesn't know that he has been defeated and the the rest of the world can go screw themselves.

Cuz CNN-IBN just said he is expected to go to Pakistan, also....Rice arrives in India in a few hours per the news channel and then reportedly will head to Pakistan afterwards, also.

Any chance we could fast forward to Jan 20 and send the grown-ups over there instead??
