Terrorist Diary: A thinking mans post

I don't think terrorists hide....I think they wander....To hide means they want to live...and I really don't think a terrorist wants to be alive....they would rather wander and wait for a snipers bullet to set them free. A terrorist diary is not written on paper...it is gouged into an idealized mind that was raped by unbelievable realities. I do not support terrorists. But I will not put myself on pedestal. That's just my opinion.

He said he did it for the 1500 dollars promised to his family, if he died a "hero's" death.

I don't think they have to be separate. He can want better things for his family, AND in doing a terrorist act - he can both provide for them and get his 72 virgins.

The 72 virgins are perhaps the ultimate motivator for his suicide besides the altruism for his family, the moral underpinning as spun directly by his "imam". It's a "win, win" game for him. He gets out of his earthly misery, he gains paradise, his family gets some earthly rewards that should bail them out of financial hardship.... As far as HE'S concerned, what's to lose?

To believe a suicide bomber/terrorist is simply motivated by money is hugely naive imho.
