Reading upside down
I am able to understand the following with ease, but was shocked to learn that some people can't read it:

¡ɐɯɐqo ʞɔɐɹɐq ǝʌoן ı

What does it mean when someone can't read upside down?

Then I said, I can read it upside down in a mirror too.

had the opportunity to learn? I taught myself to read upside down & backwards (mirror) just because I was bored. The real trick is to be able to do it without the other person suspecting you're doing it.

13. It's a snap for me!
But, I can do mirror writing (cursive!!). Just tell me something and I can write it completely so that you can't read it, except in a mirror, or if you turn the piece of paper over and hold it up to the light.

Little trick I only had to practice a little bit.

28. I taught myself mirror writing as an experiment
in high school. I'm left handed, so I decided to try writing mirror images with my right hand. It wasn't all that difficult.

Haven't done it for years, though.

Why write the regular way when you can turn it all around?

Sheesh, I got so tired of the alphabet I can recite it backwards. That's a first grade thing.

24. If you ever hand set type, you learned to do that.
I had a typesetting course in journalism school in the late 50s.
We actually set individual letters by hand.
You learned to read upside down and backwards.
To this day I can walk into an office and, from the other side of the desk, read a letter on the desk.
Not a particularly needed talent.
